Recommendation:  That the Common Council approve the recommendation of the Street Superintendent and accept the written quote from Temple Display in the amount of $8,483.60 for boulevard Christmas decorations.

Background:  For the past thirteen (13) years, the City of Oak Creek has placed Christmas decorations on East Puetz Road and recently, Christmas banners on South Howell Avenue.  The candy cane decorations used in the past have become discolored, are falling apart and need to be replaced.

We would like to replace the old candy cane decorations with new ones using the same company (Temple Display) as the hardware we are currently using is compatible with the new decorations.

With this purchase, we will have enough decorations to go from Puetz and Shepard to Howell and Puetz Road, both sides.

Fiscal Impact:  Funds in the amount of $12,000.00 have been approved in the 2003 Community Development Authority Capital Outlay for boulevard signs and decorations.
