- Council Proclamation: Consider council proclamation 08-03, congratulations to Linda Sodemann, the 128th Refueling Wing’s Citizen of the Year (confirmation only) (by Committee of the Whole).
- Council Proclamation: Consider council proclamation 08-04, congratulations to Tony Gerasch for being named the 2008 Oak Creek Citizen of the Year (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to accept the bid of Community Newspapers to serve as the official City newspaper for the next 12 months (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to establish the official City of Oak Creek Trick or Treat on Sunday, October 26, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Vendor Summary Report in the amount of $396,043.32 (by Committee of the Whole).
License Committee
- Motion: Consider a motion to take action on the various license requests as listed on the attached report (by Committee of the Whole).
Fire
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the purchase of 31 sets of technical rescue gear from Paul Conway Shields, Inc., in the amount of $50,840.00 (by Committee of the Whole).
Community Development
- Ordinance: Consider ordinance No. 2503, amending Section 3.40(c)(17)(e) of the Municipal Code to discontinue the collection of impact fees for parks and recreation administrative and maintenance facilities (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to hold Resolution No. 10872-052008, vacating the right-of-way for a portion of an alley in the 3900 block of E. Dexter Ave., until after the required public hearing on July 1, 2008 (4th District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to grant the request of the Oak Creek-Franklin School District to waive a filing fee for Plan Commission review of plans for a concessions building at the high school football field and for the building permit fee that would be charged (by Committee of the Whole).
Parks, Recreation & Forestry
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10869-052008, approving the update of the City’s Park and Open Space Plan (by Committee of the Whole).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10870-052008, approving the Abendschein Community Park Master Plan – 2008 (3rd District).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10868-052008, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a City of Oak Creek/Milwaukee County Intergovernmental Agreement for completion of one component of the Oak Leaf Trail System (by Committee of the Whole).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10871-052008, accepting workmanship and authorizing final payment to William Sackerson Construction Co., Inc., for Project No. 06030 (addition and renovation at the Henry Miller Park pavilion) (3rd District).
Engineering
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contract payment for Project No. 06027, Street Department building design and renovation (2nd District).
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contract progress payment for Project No. 07021, as listed on the attached summary report (2nd and 3rd Districts).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10867-052008, approving the development agreement with WE Energies for the installation of public improvements that will accommodate the electric substation at 6845 S. 26th St. (Project No. 08050) (1st District).
Miscellaneous
- Motion: Consider a motion to convene into Executive Session immediately following the conclusion of the Common Council meeting, pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(e) to discuss strategy relating to upcoming labor contract negotiations.
- Motion: Consider a motion to reconvene into Open Session.
- Motion: Consider a motion to take action, if required.
