Approval of Minutes: 1/4/05, as published.
Public Hearings (beginning at 7:00 p.m.) Citizen input, comments and suggestions are requested on the specific item(s) identified below. Action by the Council may occur at the same meeting if so included in the agenda.
- Rezone: Consider a proposal by Micjensar Development, LLC to rezone the property at 10222 S. Shepard Ave. from Rs-3 Single Family Residential to Rs-2 Single Family Residential (5th District).
- Official Map Amendment: Consider a proposal by Micjensar Development, LLC to amend the Official Map for the Southeast 1/4 of Section 28, affecting the area to the north and east of the intersection of S. Shepard Ave. and E. Oakwood Rd. (5th District).
Old Business
- Ordinance: Consider ordinance No. 2336, approving the rezoning of the property at 10222 S. Shepard Ave. from Rs-3 Single Family Residential to Rs-2 Single Family Residential (Micjensar) (5th District).
- Ordinance: Consider ordinance No. 2337, amending the Official Map for the Southeast 1/4 of Section 28 (Micjensar) (5th District).

- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Vendor Summary Report in the amount of $533,228.27 (by Committee of the Whole).

License Committee
- Motion: Consider a motion to take action on the various license requests as listed on the attached report (by Committee of the Whole).
Library
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the request of the Library Board and recommendation of the Personnel Committee to fill a vacant Reference Librarian position (by Committee of the Whole).
Health
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize the hiring of a replacement Public Health Nurse (PHN) position totaling 1,250 hours per year (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to give prior authorization to hire a replacement Public Health Nurse (PHN) position totaling 750 hours per year (by Committee of the Whole).
Fire
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the bid from Hastings Air-Energy Control, Inc., for installation of PlymoVent systems in the City’s three fire stations, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the contract for the project (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contract progress payments for Project No. 01019/03031, Fire Station No. 1 structural renovation, as listed on the attached summary report (by Committee of the Whole).
Police
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Police Department’s hiring of an Emergency Services Dispatcher to fill a vacant position (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider a motion to approve filling the newly-created Emergency Services Dispatch Supervisor position within the Police Department (by Committee of the Whole).
Community Development
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10455-011805, approving a certified survey map for the property at 808 E. Fitzsimmons Rd. (Henkel) (5th District).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10456- 011805, approving a certified survey map for the property at 7725 S. 13th St. (Ireland) (1st District).
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10457-011805, approving the final plat for the Genevieve’s Garden subdivision (3rd District).
Engineering
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contracted inspection service payment for various projects as listed on the attached invoice payment report (various districts).
- Motion: Consider a motion to authorize payment of the contract progress payments for Project Nos. 96028 and 00019, as listed on the attached summary report (2nd and 3rd Districts).
