A. A request was made to the State for a “No
U-turn” sign on the Northbound lane of S. Howell Avenue at the Pick N’ Save
median opening. The request was made
because the vehicles make a U-turn at this median opening are sitting in the
through traffic lane. The State denied
the request because it is not a solution to the problem and would just move the
problem to another median opening. The
State also denied any median openings for the McDonald’s/Wimmer
Property. The State
recommends that the City install a left turn lane at the Pick N’ Save median
opening to remove the vehicles from the travel lane.
B. A request was made to install “Right Turn
Only” pavement markings on E. Drexel Avenue at S. Verdev
Drive. The request is to mark the
existing right turn lane with pavement markings to prevent vehicles using the
lane as a through lane. The item is
being discussed again since the mail was delayed informing the public about the
request.
