**OFFICIAL NOTICE**

City of Oak Creek

 

Please take notice that the Traffic and Safety Commission will meet in the Lower Level Conference Room at City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Avenue, Oak Creek, Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 7 p.m.

 

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the following:

 

1)            Roll call

 

2)            Approve minutes from the April 14, 2004 meeting.

 

3)                   Old Business

 

A.     A request was made for the State to study the signal meter timing for the Northbound I-94 onramp from W. Ryan Road.  This was requested in a letter to Dick Pfeiffer on October 3, 2003.  Dick Pfeiffer has retired and his replacement Debra Duquaine is checking on the status of the request and will respond in writing. 

 

B.    A request was made for a traffic study to be conducted at the intersection of S. 13th Street and W. Puetz Road for traffic signals.  The City of Oak Creek performed a traffic study on November 12, 2003.  The results were forwarded to Milwaukee County for their information.  A letter was written and sent to Milwaukee County for the request for the traffic study.

 

4)                   New Business

 

A.       Request for “Right turn only” pavement marking on E. Drexel Avenue at the intersection of S. Verdev Drive.

 

B.       Request for Stop Signs on S. Golden Fields Drive at the intersection of E. Groveland Drive.

 

C.      Request for a Stop Sign on E. Michigan Avenue at the intersection of S. Crane Drive.

 

D.      Request for Stop Signs on W. Jonathan Drive at the intersection S. Apple Creek Drive.

 

E.       Request for Stop Signs on S. Shepard Avenue at the intersection with E. Elm Road.

 

F.       Request for “No Parking” signs along one side of the roads through Oakshire East Subdivision.

 

G.      Request for No Passing Zone Centerline striping on E. Estates Place from S. Howell Avenue to S. Burrell Street.

 

H.      Discussion on the installation of speed humps within the City of Oak Creek.

 

I.         Discussion on the intersection of S. Howell Avenue/Howell Frontage Road/E. Elm Road.

 

J.        Discussion of the possibility of a right turn lane from E. Puetz Road onto S. Shepard Avenue.
