**OFFICIAL NOTICE**
Please take notice that the Traffic and Safety Commission will meet in
the Lower Level Conference Room at City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Avenue, Oak Creek,
Wisconsin on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 7 p.m.
The
purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the following:
1) Roll
call
2) Approve
minutes from the September 8 and September 27, 2004 meetings.
3)
Old Business
A.
The 6 month study has been completed on the stop signs on
Quincy Drive and Monroe Avenue.
B.
Request for a right turn only lane on E. Drexel Avenue at
the intersection of S. Verdev Drive. The
accident reports have been pulled for the intersection for the past 3 years and
there was 1 accident reported.
C.
The City has received a permit application from Milwaukee County
for the No Engine Braking Signs along S. 13th Street at W. Oakwood
Road.
D.
The City has received a couple of requests for noise
barriers along the Interstate. Any
residence constructed after 1989 would not be eligible for noise
abatement. This is consistent with the
Federal Highway Administration Policies.
E.
A Traffic Study has been completed at the intersection of
Puetz Road and Shepard Avenue. The
Engineering Department is evaluating the data and will have a report at the
November Traffic and Safety meeting.
4)
New Business
A.
Request for a stop sign on the westbound lane of E. Kender
Lane at the intersection of S. Shire Place.
B.
Request to change the existing No Parking during school
hours to No Parking Anytime along Oak Park Drive.
C.
Request for No Parking between signs to maintain the
sidewalk entrance at 155 W. Oak Leaf Drive.
D.
Request for No Parking signs at the intersection of E.
Honeysuckle Drive and S. Orchard View Lane.

taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting other than the
governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice.
