Please
take notice that the Traffic and Safety Commission will meet in the Lower Level
Conference Room at City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Avenue, Oak Creek, Wisconsin on
Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 7 p.m.
The purpose of
the meeting will be to discuss the following:
1) Roll
call
2) Approve
minutes from the September 10, 2003 meeting.

Request for “No
Parking” signs along both sides of S. 20th Street from W.
Southbranch Boulevard to the Dead End.
B.
Request for
stop sign on S. Shepard Avenue at the intersection with E. Randy Road.
C.
Request for
stop sign on E. Elm Road at the intersection with S. Shepard Avenue.
D.
Request for
stop sign on S. Austin Avenue at the intersection with E. Elm Road.
E.
It has been
requested for Traffic and Safety to discuss installing centerline markings
along E. Elm Road from S. Howell Avenue to S. Nicholson Road and along S.
Shepard Avenue from E. Oakwood Avenue to E. Elm Road due to the width of the
paved surface. Currently, centerline markings are not installed on subdivision
roads unless it is a narrow paved surface.
F.
A letter has
been sent to Richard Pfeiffer at WisDOT to request that the speed limit be
changed from 55 mph to 45 mph on Ryan Road from Howell Avenue to 13th
Street, past the new police station.
Also, we are requesting the State to monitor the traffic lights for the
entrance ramp onto I-94 northbound from Ryan Road.

taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting other than the
governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice.
NOTE: Upon reasonable notice, a good faith effort
