Call Meeting to Order

Approval of Minutes: 6/3/03, 6/17/03 and 7/1/03 meetings, as published.

- Zoning
Text Amendment: Consider an amendment to Section 17.0404 of the
Municipal Code relating to adjustments to required parking (by Committee
of the Whole).
Old Business Items under this section are items tabled from a previous
meeting or relate to public hearings.
- Ordinance: Consider ordinance
No. 2257, amending Section 17.0404(a) of the Municipal Code
to allow the Plan Commission to make reductions to the required number
of parking spaces (by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to allocate the City’s 2004 CDBG funds to the
projects that are found to be eligible from those that have been and
will be proposed
(by Committee of the Whole) (portions held and referred to staff 7/1/03).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to not commit to joint dispatch at this time,
but to proceed with the formation of Joint Dispatch Oversight, Personnel
and
Technical Committees (as outlined on the attached memo) to study the
issues and report back in September 2003 (by Committee of the Whole)
(held 7/1/03).

a motion to award the Meadowview Park and Riverton
Meadows Park open-air shelters contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible
bidder, Bluemel’s Maintenance Service, Inc., in the amount of $29,800.00

(held 7/1/03).

- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10260-071503, accepting the 2002 financial
statement and auditors’ report as prepared and presented by Virchow, Krause & Company
(by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to acknowledge the roster of members of the
Veterans Memorial Committee, and authorize the committee to incur fundraising
expenses for the Memorial Fund prior to receipt of fundraising revenues
(by Committee of the Whole).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to establish Sunday,
October 26, 2003 from 4:00
p.m. to 7:00
p.m. as official “Trick
or Treat” hours for the City of Oak Creek (by Committee of the Whole).
- Council
Proclamation: Consider council proclamation No.
03-23, recognition to Rodney Schroeter for his prompt action during
a fire at
the Cedar Hills Estates Condominiums on 5/28/03 (by Committee of
the Whole).
- Council
Proclamation: Consider council proclamation No.
03-24, recognition to Teresa Richmond for her prompt action during
a fire at
the Cedar Hills Estates Condominiums on 5/28/03 (by Committee of the
Whole).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to approve the Vendor Summary Report in the amount
of $347,507.58 (by Committee of the Whole).

- Motion: Consider
a motion to take action on the various license requests as
listed on the attached report (by Committee of the Whole).
Streets
- Motion: Consider
a motion to approve the recommendation of the Street
Superintendent for the citywide purchase of unleaded gasoline and diesel
fuel (#2) from the low bidder, Lakeside Oil, through the V.A.L.U.E. bid
dated 6/23/03 (unleaded gasoline is $1.33/gallon and diesel #2 fuel is
$1.10/gallon) (by Committee of the Whole).
Community
Development
- Resolution: Consider resolution No. 10259-071503, approving
a certified survey map for the property at 8201 S. Howell
Ave. (Demco
Wisconsin 1, LLC) (2nd District).
Engineering
- Motion: Consider
a motion to authorize payment of $2,000.00 to Land
Acquisitions, Inc., for their work on the real estate acquisitions for
the Pennsylvania Ave. reconstruction project
(Project No. 99022) (3rd District).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to authorize the Mayor to sign an amended
state/municipal agreement with the State Department of Transportation
to add the following improvement in their STH 100 construction project
(street
lighting from Shepard Ave. to STH 32) (3rd, 4th and
5th Districts).
- Motion: Consider
a motion to authorize payment of the contract progress
payments for Project Nos. 96028 and 99049, as listed on the attached
summary report (1st and 3rd Districts).
Miscellaneous
- Motion: Consider
a motion to convene into Executive Session immediately
following the conclusion of the Common Council meeting, pursuant to Wisconsin
State Statutes, Section 19.85(1)(e) to discuss negotiating a potential
post-closing occupancy agreement with Midwest Paralegal Services for
the City’s use of the property at 7625 S. Howell Ave.
- Motion: Consider
a motion to reconvene into Open Session.
- Motion: Consider
a motion to take action, if required.
