Approval of Minutes:  6/3/03 meeting, as published.

Public Hearings (beginning at 7:00 p.m.) Citizen input, comments and suggestions are requested on the specific item(s) identified below.  Action by the Council may occur at the same meeting if so included in the agenda.

  1. Rezone:  Consider the request of St. John’s Lutheran Church to rezone the property at 211 E. Oak St. from Rs-2 Single Family Residential to I-1 Institutional (1st District).
  2. Official Map:  Consider the request of Barbara Cavolaski to amend the Official Map in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 19, affecting the property at 2008 W. Grays Ln. (2nd District).
  3. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG):  Consider suggestions for projects which could be completed during 2004 with money from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the 2004 CDBG Program, and the reallocation of unexpended funding from previous years (by Committee of the Whole).
  4. Old Business Items under this section are items tabled from a previous meeting or relate to public hearings.


  5. Ordinance:  Consider ordinance No. 2254, rezoning the property at 211 E. Oak St. from Rs-2 Single Family Residential to I-1 Institutional (1st District).
  6. Motion:  Consider a motion to not adopt Ordinance No. 2255, amending the Official Map for the Northwest 1/4 of Section 19 (Cavolaski) (6th District).
  7. Motion:  Consider a motion to allocate the City’s 2004 CDBG funds to the projects that are found to be eligible from those that have been and will be proposed (by Committee of the Whole).
  8. Motion:  Consider a motion to not commit to joint dispatch at this time, but to proceed with the formation of Joint Dispatch Oversight, Personnel and Technical Committees (as outlined on the attached memo) to study the issues and report back in September 2003 (by Committee of the Whole).
  9. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10252-061703, approving a water lateral connection agreement with Ryan Road Storage at 840 W. Ryan Rd., Tax Key No. 876-9994 (held 6/17/03) (6th District).

  11. Motion: Consider a motion to approve the Vendor Summary Report in the amount of $291,424.02 (by Committee of the Whole).
  12. Request:  Consider the request of Scoreboard Productions, on behalf of Sheryl Cerniglia, President of the Booster Club at the Oak Creek High School, to have the City participate in sponsoring the purchase of coffee mugs as a fundraiser for OCHS (by Committee of the Whole).
  13. Council Proclamation:  Consider council proclamation No. 03-22, gratitude to Ken Rehfeldt for dedicated service to the City of Oak Creek as a member of the Cable Advisory Committee (by Committee of the Whole).

  15. Motion: Consider a motion to take action on the various license requests as listed on the attached report (by Committee of the Whole).

  17. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10253-070103, approving a certified survey map for the property at 2031 W. Ryan Rd. (Speedway Travel Center) (6th District).
  18. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10254-070103, approving the certified survey map for the property at 8537 S. Pennsylvania Ave. (Grace Lutheran Church) (3rd District).
  19. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10255-070103, approving the certified survey map for the properties at 975, 1001 and 1035 E. Randy Rd. (Pientka, Szczepanski and Georgetown Commons Addition No. 1 Owners Association) (5th District).
  20. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10256-070103, granting an access easement to Hanna Trailer, Inc., for the property at 7625 S. Howell Ave. (1st District).

  22. Motion:  Consider a motion to award the Meadowview Park and Riverton Meadows Park open-air shelters contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, Bluemel’s Maintenance Service, Inc., in the amount of $29,800.00 (Project Nos. 03009 and 03025) (3rd and 5th Districts).
  23. Resolution:  Consider resolution No. 10258-070103, approving a storm water management practices maintenance agreement with S&L Holding, LLC, for the Allied Domecq Trombo development at S. 20th St. and W. Ryan Rd., Tax Key No. 903-9996-004 (6th District).
  24. Motion:  Consider a motion to concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and authorize the installation of “No Stopping or Standing” signs in front of the Shepard Hills Elementary School (5th District).
  25. Miscellaneous

  26. Ordinance:  Consider ordinance No. 2256 relating to plumbing code permit fees (by Committee of the Whole).
  27. Motion:  Consider a motion to approve the purchase of a limestone pedestal base from Mankato Kasota Stone, Inc., in the amount of $2,196.00 (by Committee of the Whole).
