The City of Oak Creek (pop 32,410) seeks a full-time Deputy City Clerk. This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex, responsible, and confidential administrative and clerical duties such as coordination and preparation of Council agendas, attendance at evening Council meetings and preparation of minutes, preparing agendas for and attending various committee meetings, handling insurance matters, processing license requests, assisting in the election process, submitting legal notices, etc.
The best applicant will be detail oriented, proficient in Microsoft Word, have excellent customer service skills, and a minimum of five years increasingly responsible clerical experience, preferably in local government. Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) status a plus.
Salary: $56,846 - $63,149 plus benefit package
