Hello, my name is Sergeant Patrick Mitchell. I am a 25-year veteran with the Oak Creek Police Department and am currently assigned to the first shift patrol division. In the past, our Department wrote weekly articles for the local paper answering questions that citizens had relating to laws or regarding our internal procedures. In light of the frequent questions that both our officers and our Dispatch Center receive, we would like to, again, address these public inquiries via It’s The Law.

Anyone with a question can send an e-mail to pmitchell@oakcreekwi.org and we will attempt to address the question with a written article in It’s The Law. However, please note that our intent is not to debate the laws, but to offer a clarification of the law of why we do things in a particular way.
