Explorer Program -

The Oak Creek Fire Department's Explorer Post 1848 was officially formed on July 16th, 2002. Since then, the Explorers have worked on dozens of projects and have provided hundreds of hours of community service. The Explorer program is led and run by the young adults in the group with adults participating only as trainers and advisors.

The Explorer program is associated with a branch of the Boy Scouts of America known as Learning for Life. Learning for Life Explorer programs place young adults ages 14 through 21 into occupational settings so they can get hands-on experience in a chosen career field. The Oak Creek Fire Department's program has approximately 18 young adults who are interested in either the fire service or the emergency medical field.

For more information on this program, please email Captain Rodney Palmer or contact him at (414)570-5630.
